Victoria is a top rank destination in the summer. As such, we recommend that you book accommodations with plenty of time in advance.
Downtown Victoria
Downtown Victoria is at its best in the summer. It is decorated with colorful flower baskets and gardens. You will enjoy many of the summer activities and will have the opportunity to explore the city. University of Victoria is about 40 minutes away in public transit and will cost 5 CAD/day. Below are examples of hotels that were suitable for previous workshop and summer school participants.
Student and Cooperative Housing
Unfortunately, the University of Victoria on-site student housing services will not be available during the week of the Summer School and Workshop. To assist with finding affordable housing, ONC is exploring options to rent near-by public accommodation for groups of students or participants in cooperative housing (i.e. vacation rental by owner or air-BnB).
